KNIT IN - Benefitting the Better Boys Foundation

I’m going to a Knit In. On September 22nd, I will be participating in a Knit In to benefit the Better Boys Foundation.

(C) Better Boys FoundationNow through September 22, all Breean Elyse pattern sales will go to benefit the Better Boys Foundation.

Consider your pattern purchase as a sponsorship for this worthwhile endeavor.

If you’d like to make a flat donation, or sponsor my knitting ‘per row’, please contact me at breeanelyse@gmail.com. Every little bit helps!

KNIT IN will bring the Chicago knitting community together to support KnitLAB@1512, one of BBF’s most popular youth apprenticeships.

KnitLAB is a textile arts workshop through which youth learn the basics of knitting—slip knots, casting on, knit and purl stitches, increasing/decreasing stitches, reading patterns, and binding off. KnitLAB also takes its work into the North Lawndale community via approved “knit tagging” and public art installations.

The Better Boys Foundation (BBF) is an intentional community. BBF provides a continuum of care and support to children and youth so that the potential nurtured through early childhood programs will be fully and powerfully realized in the elementary, high school, and post-secondary years.
