I would like to make your Two hour pink clouds cowl. I am a fairly new knitter and would appreciate your help on your pattern

I know how to do a YO. But what is a "drop yarn over from needle"?? It sounds similar to a YO?

Thanks kindly!

When you made the yarn over on one row, you will take it off your needle on the next row. That's what gives you an elongated stitch. Try it on scrap yarn and needles if you don't want to hurt your yarn for the cowl.

Happy Knitting!

Sorry to say I still don't understand! cCan you try to explain again? It's so attractive!

Made it ...love it, but I twisted it and connected the ends. So pretty.

Naomi and Robin - what this means is to simply slip the YO stitch, from the previous row, off the needle and move to the next stitch. You really don't do anything with it - it's simply there to create the elongated stitch that is part of the pattern. So you will knit the knitted stitch, slip the YO stitch off the needle, knit the knitted stitch, slip the YO stitch off the needle, knit the knitted stitch.... and so on to the end of the row.

I hope this helps clear up the confusion. Happy Knitting!!

I've tried this three times... very pretty but looks nothing like the picture. the yo section runs length wise instead of up and down like your lacy knit yo looks...I like yours better... can't seem to reproduce the diagonal lace knit...
